    The China International Industry Fair 2007, which is sponsored by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Information Industry, Chinese Academy of Science and Shanghai Municipal Government, will be held in Shanghai in this autumn. As an important part of the CIIF 2007, The 4th International Forum of Digital TV and Wireless Multimedia Communication(4th IFTC), directed by Shanghai Municipal Informatization Commission (SMIC), Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Shanghai Association of Science and Technology (SAST) and hosted by SIGA, is a summit forum in the field of digital TV and multimedia communication. The Forum is co-hosted by such organizations and communities as Shanghai Media Group (SMG), Shanghai SVA Group, IEEE BTS Chapter of Beijing Section, Shanghai Institute of Communication, Shanghai Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SSMPTVE), Shanghai Information Household Appliance Trade Association (SIAA), Shanghai Communication Industry Association (SCIA). The Forum is supported by Shanghai SVA Group, Philips Far Eastern Asia Labs, Shanghai Oriental Pearl (Group) Co., Ltd (OPG), Shanghai Sony-SVA Electronics Co. Ltd, Scientific-Atlanta Inc, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, Chinese Journal of Image and Graphics (CJIG), DVBCN. The Forum is undertaken by Shanghai Baohua convention and exhibition Service Company.

    The 4th IFTC aims at extensively exchanging the latest information of digital TV and wireless multimedia communication industries around the world as well as the relevant policies of industry authorities and communicating the development trend and research achievements in the related realm of digital TV, IPTV, Mobile Phone TV, Content and Security Management, Broadband Multimedia and etc. Indicated by the adoption of digital television terrestrial transmission standard, the extensive industrialization of digital television in China has been starting up in an all-round way. The International Forum will provide powerful technical supports and assurance for the development and the innovation of digital TV and wireless multimedia communication industries of China; offer the technology and application platform for broadcasting and television operator, apparatus provider and technological facilitator; and serve as a bridge of mutual exchange between China and the world outside. In the beautiful autumn season, we warmly welcome international and domestic experts and scholars to Shanghai to share your visions on Digital TV and Wireless Multimedia Communication with us.

The thematic topics of 4th IFTC include digital TV, IPTV, mobile phone TV, mobile multimedia communication, the content and security management, industry chain and industrialization and etc. Prospective authors are invited to submit manuscripts on topics including but not limited to:

    The forum program will include keynote and invited speakers, contributed papers; oral and poster sessions. The papers will be reviewed by both the program committee members of the Forum and the peer reviewers of Chinese Journal of Image and graphics. The selected papers will be published in the 10th issue of Chinese Journal of Image and Graphics 2007 as regular papers. Each accepted paper will be allowed an oral presentation. The authors should prepare their manuscript according to the MS Word template and the format requirements of Chinese Journal of Image and graphics given in the conference website and submit an MS Word version of their papers no more than 4 pages per paper through email-based submission.
